Mathias is 6!

 So we celebrated Mathias Birthday on Friday and He turned the Big 6! Man it seems like yesterday that I was bringing home from the hospital.... As you can see by the pictures we have moved into Transformers stage and once he knows how to the change them he gets pretty fast at it! He loves school at Christmas he kept asking when he got to go back! His reading is getting really good and he is doing great counting by 5s and 10s! He is also a big helper around the house occasionlly he even asks if I have something he can do! He is getting excellent at folding his own laundry. We can also say He finally weighs in at 34 lbs.

Off to School

Our day finally came Mathias went off to school. So excited he never looked back. He came home a little tired after his first day but perked up and finally told me all the fun stuff he got to do.

Annie has not fared nearly as well she was upset the first day on the way home and it took a little while before realizing that she wanted us to go back and get brother. Monday when we dropped him off was worse he went off happily. Annie had a death grip on the door and was going to stay. I sadly had Gracie in my arms and had to physically remove her from the door. Poor girl cried all the way down the hall.  Wednesday she left him fine but was still unwilling to play. We are hoping she adjusts better this next week. 

Tornado visit

So Grandma and the cousins that didn't go on the trip to see Zac came to visit us for a week!!! So here are just a few pics.

Sadly with only 2 swings there was a few fights about whos turn it was.

Ok so we picked a few kids up every a couple different days...

Heathers girls didnt want to watch there brothers soccer game in the rain so they watched Tangled with the kids instead.

Presto LOVED playdoh if he was having a rough day we got it out and voila happy boy.

Saying good bye to Grandma.

What a Week...

So about a week and a half ago we got our tax return so off we went to get the little tykes new beds.... While at the store on Saturday Mathias tugs on my leg I lean down and he whispers in my ear

"Mom tell them we have Money."

Now we had gone to price beds the week before and he was a little upset when we didn't leave the store with them I had to explain that mom & dad didn't have the money yet.

Monday they were promptly delivered at 9 am and when Andrew got home we spent about 3hrs working on them. Now we are just waiting on Mathias dragon bedding to be delivered.

Luckily Annie chose Dora so she is a happy girl.

On Thursday as many of you have heard Gracie had a great tumble and got her first major Owie. Within about 2 hrs she figured out how to climb the ladder into Annie's bed...

Yet still smiling....

On Friday Mathias Bugs that grandma gave him for his Bday finally arrived. This great gift has already been fun for the kids he gets to raise Butterflies and Lady Bugs to release into the wild once there done growing. The best part is we can reuse the cages and order more whenever we want!! If you want to learn more check out there website HERE . They offer other things that you can grow too..

As you can see our Caterpillars have gotten really big already!

Wise man

OK so my little ones love to sing Wise man song...Gracie tends to scream it just as we are sitting down and it cracks me up. We attempted to get them to sing it for the camera many times and this was the best I could get....

School Age!!

So Its official Mathias gets to start school in the fall!! Yesterday our big boy turned 5...*sigh* sometimes I wish I could keep him this size for a little longer...

As he has grown so has his Imagination!!

So Are big guy can be a lot of fun these days especially at meal time!!

about a month ago I was cooking dinner and got the usual question. "Mom what you cookin." Tired of telling him every 5 min. what I was making I told him I was making Dragon. From there its just gotten more entertaining, though he did stop asking after that. So getting up to the table for dinner he looks at it and goes "mom I want some of that Gronkle tale it looks Yummy" Oh the fun that we have had since then. WE went to Marias and she told him that she made monster for dinner (Chicken), Hunter fed him tumble weeds ( Frosted mini shredded wheat), I made Dragon toes (roasted fingerling potatoes) and we have had dragon tale (Green beans or asparagus)... eating can be so entertaining!

Sadly Mathias wanted a Gronckle Birthday however with walmart the only store selling How to train your dragon toys we were unable to get a gronckle so I piped one on to his cake as he watched and told me exactly what he wanted. It might not be as cool as some but he was happy!

We sure do love this guy its going to be hard to send him off to school in september!!
