Welcome to life Rebekah Grace.

Our Rebekah Grace was quite vocal about being born. As soon as her little chest was out she filled it up and let out a strong healthy cry.
Beka continued to let us know she was mad for a quite a little while until Mom showed her where the food was, then she was content.

Little miss measured 8lbs 3oz, wich is lighter than her siblings by bit, we imagine that she would have rivaled sister if we had let her go to the due date.

She measured 20 inches long but she doesn't seem to us any way to be that long, of course again she was smaller than brother and sister. Her head size was about the same as her siblings, she just seems so small compared to her siblings.

We started checking out of the birthing center at about 8 the following morning, starting with the pediatrician and then all the other stuff. All the check out stuff went on till about noon, they almost held Sari another night because of her low Iron levels. But the big hold up was Baby's billirueben test which took an hour but came out fine. It may not look it here but She's drowning in her clothes.

Time to meet the siblings on the outside. Mathias and Annie were excited to meet Little Rebekah, with lots of kisses and hugs she was welcomed home.
Both Annie and Mathias demanded their turns to hold Rebekah, they did a most excellent job of it too.

I think of us all Sari is the most happy that Bekah has finally decided to join our little family. Long nights of interrupted sleep are ahead of us. The next best news is that Mathias had decided to finally do his business on the toilet instead of his diaper!

He had, as usual, gone to his bedroom to poop in his pants. Well this time it went everywhere, it got his favorite jammies dirty, it got on the floor and it went halfway up his back. He received a cold bath in which he cleaned up his jammies and was washed down. Mathias thought that he would be getting his jammies back immediately after rinsing them, I informed him that because he pooped in his diaper he got his jammies dirty and now they would have to be washed. He was also told that if he had gone on the toilet that his jammies would be clean right now. Mathias had to clean up the poop on the carpet as well wich took significantly longer and was very boring.

Sari and I watched him very carefully, we could tell he was processing all that had happened. the next day he went to the toilet to go poop. What a glorious moment that was! So as we promised him many months ago we gave him a penny to keep and save so he could buy a toy when he had enough. Now when he goes he informs us that he needs a penny because he pooped in the toilet, and we gladly give it to him.

This was such a blessing to have hime potty train. We thought he would revert a bit with Rebekah being born, if anything he is getting better and even goin in the night when he knows he has to go. Annie however has been a little trouble, getting into everything, disobeying, the normal two year old stuff amplified by being ousted from the baby position. She is getting better, just needs some extra tlc and individual attention.

All about Poo

Ok so as many know the woes of potty training weve been working on Mathias for almost a year now and its been a long road. He has recently started to hide when he has to go Poo ie. going to his room and shutting the door or hiding behind furniture. Then he stopped doing that when we caught him and was just waiting untill nap time everyday. AHHHH Im so sick of poopy diapers!! So the other day we started putting annie on cause she keeps asking and the Heavens blessed us she peed in the toilet on the second try so she go a piece of candy. Mathias promptly asked for his and when we said he had to put some poo in the potty first he was a little upset. Today though I heard is door open and shut at nap time (wich roughly translated usually means hes either got to go potty or has already pooped in his diaper) I figured he needed to go and the diaper fairy decided to bless us today for hooray he POOPED IN THE TOILET. I know for those of you not at this stage in life our probably grossed out at this point, but there are those out there that understand IT MEANS ONE LESS CRAP FILLED DIAPER I DONT HAVE TO CHANGE!!!! Now its my turn to shout for joy that im one diaper closer to not changing a kid!!
